Happy Endings is a pet adoption program through Cary Street Veterinary Hospital in association with Richmond Animal Control.  Team members from CSVH go to RAC and choose adorable kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs that are in need of a loving, caring home.  Often these animals have special needs or, for some reason, have been at Richmond Animal Control for an extended stay.  CSVH provides these animals with a second chance at a happy, healthy life.  We provide all necessary vaccines and surgical procedures, including spay/neuter services, prior to adoption.  If you decide to adopt any of these furry friends, all that we ask as a show of your commitment is that you have them microchipped at your expense at CSVH.

SAMPSON

Hi, my name is Sampson.  I really need  a good home, so let me tell you all about me.  I am about five years old and I am a healthy, neutered male.  I have all my vaccinations and I am ready to go.  I am adventurous and love to play.  If you stop petting me, I will swat your hand and play bite.  I love people and can even meow hello and will follow you around the house.

NEMO

ADOPTED!!!

Cary Street Veterinary Hospital rescued Nemo from a local shelter in April 2011 with a severe right forelimb deformity that later resulted in the amputation of the limb.  At the time of his amputation, he was also neutered.  His left front wrist curves inward and currently he wears a brace for joint support and potential correction of this irregularity.  On three legs, he loves to run, play, and generally be goofy.  He is a 26-pound mixed breed, estimated to be 1 and 1/2 to 2 years of age.  He is amazingly sweet and incredibly loving to anyone or anything.  Nemo is kid, dog, cat, and house friendly.  He is well-adjusted and managed to settle into his foster family's home (of two young boys, one dog and one cat) within a day and with few hiccups.  He is crate trained and quickly adapted to the potty routine.  His fosters are working with him on basic canine commands and fine tuning his not-so-bad manners.

GILLIE

Gillie is a 10 month old terrier mix with a sparkling personality and a heart of gold!  For being such a young dog, with no indication of previous training, she is very bright and pick ups on commands quickly.  She knows sit and stay already, but she will have no problem with learning further obedience skills with appropirate guidance.  Gillie is extremely friendly with other cats, dogs and people.  She would love a home where she could get contant attention and excerise.  Not only is she intelligent, but she is extremely loving.  Gillie is one of the "cuddliest" dogs we've ever had here at Cary Street!  Her high energy level will need to be focused in the right direction, just like most puppies.  If you are interested in a fun and totally sweet-natured girl please ask for a visit with Gillie!

LOUISE

 

Meet Louise!  She is one of the sweetest cats we have ever had at Cary Street Vet Hospital.  Louise is a chatty 6month old girl who wants to be with you at all times.  She has done well with other cats in the hospital, but has been a little nervous around dogs.  If you think you might be able to provide Louis with a loving forever home, please call or come in for a visit.

RIVER

River is a six year old cat staying with us at Cary Street. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. River is a very vocal and friendly cat who loves being around people. He is happy with other cats and really likes lots of attention! If you are interested in giving sweet River a home please let one of our staff members know.
