Meet the Doctors at Cary Street Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Kimberly Kuhn graduated from the University of Missouri in May of 1989. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in Virginia since graduation.
Dr. Kuhn has found a special interest in older/geriatric dogs and cats. She enjoys helping them grow older gracefully and improving the quality of their lives through their silver and golden years.
Outside the office, Dr. Kuhn's interests include hiking, camping, yoga, and biking...basically anything outdoors.
She currently has 2 canine children, Rufus (terrier mix) and Roscoe (terrier mix). She has 1 feline child, Rooster, an orange tabby.
Dr. A.J. Ereio loves to spend time with his wife (Lauren), his son (Jack), his daughter (Casey), their dog (Char), and cat (Jordan).
His hobbies include rollerblading with his dog, running, baking, playing on his iPhone and iMac, motorcycling, camping and fishing, and trying to figure out how to change the world for the better.
He graduated in 1996 from VMRCVM, the Veterinary School at Virginia Tech and before that, in 1992 from the University of Virginia with a degree in Theology. Dr. Ereio has a special interest and has received extra training in small animal dentistry.
Dr. Alex Dahlgren graduated from University of Georgia in 2006. She practiced emergency veterinary medicine for 2 years before joining Cary Street Veterinary Hospital in June of 2008.
Dr. Dahlgren became ceritified in veterinary acupuncture through Colorado State University's program. She has special interests in older dogs and cats, working dogs and sports medicine, and pain control and rehabilitation medicine. She also enjoys behavior and training and has experience training search and rescue dogs.
In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, running, swimming and camping. She also brews a strong Belgian beer.
She has two rambunctious and acitve canine kids: Jasper, a blind Border Collie, and Leela, a yellow Lab. They both love to hike, run, swim and camp. She has three feline housemates, Logan, Elias and Annapurna.
Dr. Ed Taylor is the veterinarian that consults and performs advanced dental services at Cary Street Vet Hospital.
Dr. Taylor has over 25 years of experience performing sophisticated dental procedures for pets. He has the qualifications needed to assure you of a high standard in the care of dental problems and oral diseases.
He graduated in 1971 from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a fellow and past president of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and is a Board Certified Specialist in canine and feline medicine.
